Anita Perkins is an I-ACT Certified Colon HydroTherapist which means, our Therapist has done extensive training for this procedure, and follows the highly professional International Association for Colon HydroTherapy Code of Ethics.

Our style is to flow water into the colon in 6 second increments so we mimic the blood capillary activity in it's relaxed state. This helps the autonomic nervous system ( A.N.S.) toward relaxation, away from the stress response. Dr. Shea has developed this style of work over the past 30 years and realized great results!!

The Colon-HydroTherapy instrument we use is a Closed System by Dotolo and is FDA cleared, so it's safety has been proven. There is No Smell, No Mess, Nothing Gets on your Skin! It also has the CE Mark which means it has been approved for export to other countries as well.

In our Facility we use filtered, purified, fresh, clean water. The water is also exposed to UV or Ultra Violet light, which disinfects the water before it flows into your body, killing any bacteria that may be still present after the purification process. It's the most efficient filtration available in our industry.

Our Colonic Procedure is Gentle on the Colon!   

 

The Toxygen Model BSC-UV is a state of the art colon hydrotherapy device (also known as colonic irrigation). It will cleanse the entire colon using filtered water and without the use of drugs or chemicals. The device is a "closed system" which affordes a comfortable procedure while maintaining the dignity of the patient. There is no open evacuation and no offensive odors. It is therapist assisted for effectiveness, comfort and most importantly, safety.
	The device comes equipped with a built-in water treatment system. This patented three stage system will remove particulate matter, reduce the amount of chlorine and, with the use of Ultraviolet light, destroy 99.9% of bacteria and viruses that may be in the water. The system is easily maintained. The Ultraviolet light will automatically signal when it needs changing.
	Another feature of the Toxygen is its self-cleaning capability. Unlike other devices, the Toxygen's unique "locked in" system allows sufficient contact time for the disinfectant to be effective.

Jodie is a Licensed Massage Therapist, my career started in March 1998. I was involved in a car accident which left me with a whiplash. My doctor wanted me to take pills (muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatories) and sit and do nothing. That method didn't work for me. Anyway, when can a working mother of two sit and do nothing. I was in terrible pain. 

Through a friend I was introduced to Reiki, a wonderful energy healing method, which after my first treatment, allowed me to get my first good night sleep in the months since my accident. I was intrigued by this energy work and had more treatments and eventually became a Reiki practitioner myself. Reiki changed my life in so many positive ways. In October 2007, I became a Reiki Master. I can now teach others this wonderful method.

During this time I also made my first visit to a chiropractor and received my first massage. All these wonderful things helped to get me back to normal within a few weeks. I don't think I would have ever recovered with just the taking of the pills my doctor prescribed. 

When the company I worked for decided to move it's corporate headquarters to another city, I knew I would be looking for a new job soon. Through many series of events, and I believe, some divine intervention, I was lead down the path of attending massage therapy school. It was very scary to start something new middle age, but I knew I was doing the right thing. I received my certification in massage therapy in July 2003 and have been in practice since then. I welcome the opportunity to utilize my skills for our guest of Fair Haven Wellness Clinic.
